Time Warp : 1964 – The Beatles Invasion
With so much hype surrounding this new Mono box set, we had to see what it was all about and compare it to the original Mono release.
We played these records using a true mono cartridge: the Ortofon Cadenza Mono.
Within Music Room 2 both versions sang as we compared the first couple of albums of the box set to the original mono pressings, and spoiler alert: the new box set is worthy of owning as it sounded better to both Michael The Greek and my ears.
More top-to-bottom body, weight, and texture, leaving behind the thinness and lack of bottom extension the original copies possessed.
The Beatles performance could not be without a solid Audio-Ultra AC power foundation along with proper installation and setup of the brands we represented in Music Room 2: Audioquest cables, FalkenOhr rack systems, Gobel HIGH END loudspeakers, Kuzma analog products, Ortofon, SOtM network and TIDAL Audio Pre and phono amp.
Interest in the brands?
Besides Audio-Ultra, Gobel HIGH END can also be heard in South Florida. TIDAL Audio is also available from alliance partners in Chicago and Philadelphia.
We hope you enjoyed this video.
Until then, Long Live Audio!
