• What a table! Do not let the unique design fool you. In its simplest form, the Stabi S is a HIFI jewel and has extreme value for the dollar, especially when used with Kuzma tonearms and cartridges. It is constructed with very rigid brass tubing that when joined together forms the shape of a “T”, and comes in natural brass or a black powder coat. This high-mass brass tubing is perfect for a rigid connection to the platter, bearing assembly, and tonearm support. The belt drive motor sits outside the tube and an optional dongle connects it to the controller to set and adjust 33 and 45 RPM speeds. Albums will rest on a solid aluminum platter.  Additional options allow the cross brass tube to support a second arm, which is how we like to set it up. Spindle-to-pivot adjustment for the tonearm is easily adjustable using an eccentric collar that also allows VTA adjustment with a set screw.   Further performance is gained using the Kuzma Platis platform.

  • The Magico M7 is a four-way, six-driver floor-standing loudspeaker capable of astonishing performance. Featuring the latest Magico drive-unit technology, an organically shaped carbon- fiber-and-aluminum enclosure, and the latest Elliptical Symmetry Crossover, the M7 is a tour de force of advanced loudspeaker engineering.

    Tweeter and Midrange: 

    The M7 uses the tweeter designed for the M9. This high-frequency 28mm driver utilizes a beryllium diaphragm with optimized geometry. The diaphragm is then diamond-coated using a chemical vapor deposition process to push the beryllium substrate closer to the theoretical ideal. Magico engineers created a new neodymium-based motor system with the lowest distortion possible, massive dynamic capability, and even greater power handling than previous designs. Lastly, the acoustical performance of the back chamber was improved with careful FEA modeling. The 5” pure midrange driver in the M7 features a Gen 8 Nano-Tec cone formed of an aluminum-honeycomb core sandwiched with outer and inner layers of graphene-infused carbon fiber.  

    Midbass and Bass:

    The M7’s 9” midbass driver uses a newly designed basket assembly and Magico’s Gen 8 Nano-Tec cone, consisting of an aluminum-honeycomb core sandwiched with outer and inner layers of graphene-infused carbon fiber. This drive unit has a 127mm voice coil and an underhung neodymium-based motor system using dual extra-large magnets.  

    A Silent Enclosure:

    The M7’s enclosure begins with a monocoque carbon-fiber shell conceived using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling. A multiply 6061-T6 aluminum front baffle with constrained-layer damping using aerospace composites is affixed to an aluminum rear baffle with front-to-back tensioning rods. The result is a cabinet that produces negligible internal resonances, enabling minimal damping—again, a design optimized conceptually and then tested until perfected. The baffle shape was refined until almost no diffraction effects were measurable. The M7’s overall structure results in maximum strength on every axis, with extreme stiffness, rigidity, and minimal energy storage.   

    The Crossover: 

    The four-way network contains components from Mundorf of Germany and Duelund Coherent Audio of Denmark. The M7’s ESXO crossover perfectly integrates the six drive units into a virtual point source—the six drivers sound complete. A bespoke support system developed specifically for the M7 uses MPOD technology to provide a stable footprint while eliminating noise and achieving perfect coupling to the floor.

Whatever the future brings, the Arkas is prepared. Every Arkas comes with a proprietary data connection output called TIDAL-Link. What might look at a first view as a multi-channel purpose amplifier - is more than that. The TIDAL Intra is first and above all a high-end stereo power amplifier. It contains two physically divided stereo modules, built like a dual mono power amplifier. For true stereo power amplification, one channel per module per speaker side. Then each main power supply for each module takes care of only one channel - for ultimate 2-channel sound. The options on top of that are built inside already: one could also connect with two channels per speaker for passive or active bi-amping. Or one does integrate the TIDAL Intra into a high-end multi-channel system.
