Behind Closed Doors at Magico | Alon Wolf explains Loudspeaker Design and Material Choices. Epic!

I’m back at the Magico factory, where I catch up with my good friend Alon Wolf, the CEO of Magico, LLC.

The day kicked off with Alon demonstrating his barista prowess, crafting what I think is the best espresso and cappuccino in the Bay Area. After that, we took a tour of the factory to see how the craftsmen come together as a team to assemble the Magico M7 and Magico M9 loudspeakers. Here you will see into the build quality of the truly epic Magico M7, similar to the pair that resides at Audio-Ultra.

Next, we headed into the Magico purpose-built listening room, complete with the new Magico S7 loudspeakers. The music room literally has minimum, if any, influence at all on playback which supports critical listening during the testing and review process to ensure the products Magico creates are among the best in the world.

Alon started by sharing his journey into speaker design and why he picked the Bay Area, not just as his home but also as the factory’s location in Hayward. We chatted about everything from his material choices to his thoughts on the future of high-end audio.
